WHAT BARLEY'S PREVIOUS GUESTS HAVE SAID

Michael P

The cottages are meticulously maintained by onsite owner management. We found Barley comfortable, warm and delightful. There were thoughtful touches in the supplies laid on for us on arrival. Our host clearly wants visitors to get the very best out of their experience of this remote corner of north Devon, and these cottages are managed in a way which gives them every chance to do so.

Graham B

It would be easy to overdue the superlatives, but here goes. Barley Cottage is quite sublime. The heated conservatory is a gem. The provision of bird feeders within a few feet leads to a delight of small birds, pheasants and the antics of the squirrels. The cottage is equipped with all that anyone could desire. Everything works and the welcome of a cream tea is a treat indeed. If you are seeking comfort, warmth, peace and tranquillity and dark skies, then Barley Cottage takes some beating

The cottage is perfect for 2 people. Well equipped and comfortable. The welcome pack was very well received! The whole site is well kept & maintained with a fine array of planters. The bird feeders were a real bonus (as was the free nuts to keep them topped up!). The fishing lake was superb - well stocked with roach, bream, tench and carp. We didn't travel very far from the cottage - no need - there is so much to do and see in the area. The host / manager, Martin was very professional and welcoming. Credit to him. Just wish we could have stayed longer!
