 Things to see and do
The area, as you can read from the details on the Attractions page, has much to offer, so you will not be short of activities or places to visit during your short break.
This photo is taken from our surrounding fields and looks across Bideford Bay. The 12 miles of coastline around the Hartland Peninsula has spectacular views.
As many of our guests enjoy walking, especially along the South West Coast path, this ' hidden gem' in Devon is a must to visit.
Our regular guests would rather like to keep this 'special place' a secret, but we would like to share our passion for this area with you, our reader.
Because Yapham is so well placed, you are not far from a wonderful selection of beaches, again details under our Attractions page.
The Cornish border is only 9 miles away so this opens up a huge choice of activities from visiting small coastal villages to the cathedral city of Truro.
Well-known tourist attractions such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are also very popular. Lynton with its famous funicular railway, Barnstaple and its famous pannier market or the delights of Exmoor or Dartmoor are all popular destinations if you wish to spend some time away from this peninsula.
However, on a first visit, there is so much to see and do on the Hartland Peninsula that you will wish you were staying for longer!
Availability and prices
To give as much flexibility as possible to our guests, short breaks from October 1- March 31st can be taken any day of the week.
In these shoulder months, arrival and departure times can be very flexible to suit your travel arrangements and If the cottage has not been booked on the day of your departure, then you are most welcome to leave after our normal departure time of 10.00am. A lot of our guests stay longer.
Special occasions
If the short break is for a special occasion we can also provide bouquets of flowers, baskets of fruit or celebration cakes. Please ask for details.
