Docton Mill

Set in nine acres of beautiful gardens surrounding the original working mill and mill pond, the sheltered wooded valley offers a microclimate enabling tender species to flourish. Located just 1000m from coast and Spekes Mill Mouth where North Devons tallest waterfall tumbles into the sea, Docton Mill is easily reached by road or by foot form the SW Coast path.

Clovelly Court

You’ll find these old walled gardens a contrast to the rest of Clovelly, so do go along and enjoy their beauty. Protected from the winds and bounded by an avenue of lofty lime trees, they are usually a month ahead of the season – but you’ll find that there’s always something to see and enjoy at any season of the year.

Tapley Park

The Tapeley Park grounds are renowned for their beautiful gardens, particularly the Italian terraces, and include a lake, ponds, old woodland and a number of fields where Hector’s herd of Highland cattle graze. As well as a sizeable organic vegetable garden, Tapeley Park has one of the oldest permaculture gardens in the UK.

RHS Rosemoor

The original garden at RHS Garden Rosemoor was created by Lady Anne Berry, and is a true plantsman's garden. The whole of Rosemoor is surrounded by woodland, and the acidic soil and valley-bottom location proffer their own challenges. There are highly ornamental gardens with shrubs, roses, perennials and bulbs on view.
